The Library Store

Designed/Developed at CG+A

Dating back to the 1920s, the Los Angeles Central Library is one of the city's historic, architectural and cultural treasures. The third largest library in the US in terms of book and periodical holdings, it is the heart of the Los Angeles Public Library system. The Library Store, a small gift shop nestled just off the main lobby, has long operated as a nonprofit store where visitors can make unique purchases that directly benefit the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. As guests enter the store, they are met with blue walls that feel distinctly vibrant and modern and speak directly to the Store's brand and feel. From the other side of the store, the blue is concealed by the angles and replaced by warm dark wood shelves inspired by the original elements found throughout the Central Library.
